The North Ballarat Rebels are pleased to announce that David Loader has been appointed as Head Coach of the Rebels Talented Player Pathways Programs after the resignation of Glenn Wilkins who held the position for the past 2 seasons.
David has been an integral part of the Rebels Coaching panel for the past 4 years holding down positions such as Development Coach, Line Coach and more recently Senior Assistant Coach and Coach of the U16 Development Squad as well as coaching in AFL Victoria’s successful “Young Gun’s” game this year.
Before his involvement in the Rebels Talented Player Pathway Programs he also had a successful coaching career coaching SMW Rovers Football Club in the Mininera Football League.
David is a staff member at St Patricks College, Ballarat and is also currently undertaking a Bachelor of High Performance (Sport and Business)* for coaching AFL and elite athletes competing at national and international levels, which is in partnership with the Australian Football League and the AFL Coaches Association. He is also is a level 3 Accredited Coach.
Rebels gain experienced and enthusiastic young coaches as TAC Cup Assistants.
As well as gaining a new Head Coach, the Rebels are equally thrilled about adding two new experienced and enthusiastic TAC Cup Assistant Coaches to help develop the Rebels talent regions most promising young footballers reach their fullest potential both on and off the field.
Shaun O’Loughlin who has been the Senior Coach at the successful Ballarat Football Club and is an ex Rebels player has accepted an Assistant Coaches role. Shaun has done a wonderful job at developing young players at the Ballarat Football Club over the past years and is keen to continue his coaching development at the TAC Cup level.
Jason Muldoon who was a Development Coach for the Rebels in 2010 as well as having coached Hamilton Imperials at senior level in the Western Border Football League has also accepted a role as Assistant Coach after an impressive year developing the South West players from the Rebels Talent region. Jason will be based at Hamilton.
