Sandringham victory
LANKY key forward Fletcher Roberts kicked four last-quarter goals to lead the Sandringham Dragons to their first premiership since 1999 by eight points over the Oakleigh Chargers in the TAC Cup grand final at Etihad Stadium yesterday.
Roberts, who finished with five goals from 13 touches, was clearly the most damaging forward on the ground in an epic contest that saw the Dragons come back from 20 points down at the last change.
"The defence got it going our way and I was just lucky enough to get the ball myself," Roberts said.

Last-quarter rally gives Dragons TAC Cup flag
A STAR turn by Murrumbeena junior Fletcher Roberts highlighted a last-quarter Sandringham Dragons rally in the TAC Cup grand final at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Trailing the Oakleigh Chargers by 20 points at three-quarter time, Roberts, a 197cm right-footer, booted four goals in the final term to finish with a bag of five and no doubt opened up the eyes of AFL scouts in Sandy's 17.11 (113) to 16.9 (105) victory.
It was the Dragons' second premiership, coming 12 years after their first in 1999, and coach Dale Tapping was delighted.

Chargers fall short in TAC Cup GF
THE Oakleigh Chargers' incredible late-season surge came to a dramatic and devastating end on Sunday, as they faded late to lose the TAC Cup grand final to Sandringham by eight points at Docklands Stadium.
Most tipsters had favoured the Chargers in the lead up to the match, but it was Sandringham who started the stronger, kicking six first-quarter goals to lead by 23 points at the first change.
After a tight opening to the second, the Chargers kicked three goals in five minutes to level the scores before kicking on to lead by 10 points at the halftime break.
