Despite having the most players drafted, the Falcons over the years have only had one number one selection, that being Hawthorn captain Luke Hodge in 2001. Hodge has gone on to play 195 games with the Hawks, which sees him eighth on the list of most AFL games played by a Geelong Falcons draftee, with Scott Lucas (Essendon 270 games – drafted 1994), Matthew Scarlett (Geelong 268 – drafted 1997) and Cameron Ling (Geelong 264 – drafted 1999) leading the way.
The NAB AFL National Draft kicks off at 7pm this Thursday night. Be sure to follow @TACCup for all the latest information on which TAC Cup players are drafted and keep an eye on www.taccup.com.au for a full list of TAC Cup draftees round by round as each round is completed.
