"HE'S as hard as a cat's head. His attack on the ball is crazy, I can't believe him."
"He runs all day, he's really quick and he's very courageous, so he'll fit in really well here."
That's how Port Adelaide's great key forward hope John Butcher summed up his younger - and shorter - brother, Danny, who has joined him at Alberton.
John said his blond, dreadlocked sibling, recruited at pick 21 at last week's rookie draft, would help bring a new hard edge to the Power.
He denied he re-signed with Port at the end of the season on the proviso the club recruited Danny.
"Definitely not," John said.
"I was one of the most shocked people in Adelaide on Tuesday when I was watching the draft online with a few of the boys upstairs after training and Danny's name popped up at No.21.
"My older sister Katie has just taken a job up in Queensland, so there's no one left in Victoria."
John said he "jokingly had a few words" to Port national recruiting manager Geoff Parker during the season to recruit his brother. But he thought nothing would come of it.
"But it's great to have him on board and we're looking forward to playing senior footy together," John said. "We haven't played footy together since the under-12s so it will be great if one day we could run out on the same field together again."
