The first Round Three match of the 2012 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships was played at Alberton Oval in Adelaide on Saturday.
Vic Metro headed to SA to take on the highly fancied South Australian's and came away with an 18 point victory. SA were hampered by a late change to their line up with Troy Menzel - their leading goal kicker in the competition so far - withdrawing from the team, but Vic Metro led from start to finish to start the division one stage of the Championships on a positive.
Oakleigh Chargers Jack Billings was the key up forward with four first half goals - finishing with 5 goals for the match.
Northern Knights Nathan Hrovat led the disposals count with 34.
Calder Cannons Jonathan O'Rourke and Sandringham Dragons Josh Kelly both had 21, Northern Knights Matthew Haynes 17, Billings and Western Jets Lachlan Hunter 16 and Northern Knights Jacob Ballard, Calder’s Liam McBean and Sandringham’s Tom Temay all had 15 disposals.
