Round 16 of the AFL Season will see the official debut of two past TAC Cup players. Josh Walker and Kurt Aylett will both represent their respective AFL clubs – Geelong and GWS - this weekend.
Local Geelong Falcon boy, Josh Walker will be lining up for the Cats in his AFL debut match this Saturday against Collingwood at the MCG.
Walker was selected with pick number 23 in the 2010 NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
As a 196cm key forward, Walker made his statement to selectors last weekend by kicking five goals in the Peter Jackson VFL. During his 11 VFL matches this season, Walker has booted 20 majors for the Cats.
The agile forward will partner perfectly with Tom Hawkins in attack against the Magpies on Saturday.
Former North Ballarat Rebel, Kurt Aylett will make his official AFL debut for the Greater Western Sydney Giants this Sunday at Skoda Stadium.
Originally from NSW, Kurt accepted a scholarship to attend Ballarat Clarendon College and in turn become a Rebel.
Aylett is an athletic midfielder with elite endurance who can run and carry to break the lines.
He was picked up by GWS in Pre Draft Selections but in August 2011 Aylett endured a knee injury which he has now successfully overcome.
