AFL Victoria is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Jago as the Head Coach of the Calder Cannons FC for season 2013.
Andrew replaces previous coach Martin Allison in the role after Martin was appointed Head Coach of the AFL Victoria Metro Academy U18 Program.
Andrew comes to the role after spending the previous four seasons directly involved in the AFL Victoria Talented Player programs including two years as a Calder Cannons Assistant coach, Vic Country Futures Head Coach, Vic Country U16 and U18 Assistant as well as the AFL Victoria Youth Girls Academy Head Coach for two years.
Andrew has had stints as a coach at Old Haileybury FC in the VAFA, Seddon FC in the Western Region FL and Seymour FC in the Goulburn Valley FL. Andrew has also had advisory and assistant roles at Sandringham and Northern Blues FC’s in the VFL.
Andrew is a qualified AFL High Performance (Level 3) Coach and is currently a Senior Lecturer at Victoria University in Sports Psychology.
