Both Vic Country and Vic Metro suffered close defeats in Round 2 of the NAB AFL U16 Championships.
Despite trailing by 20 points at three quarter time, Vic Metro fought back to tie the scores to push the game into a golden score battle. After four minutes, a behind to SA won them the game.
Vic Country led by one point at quarter time in its clash with WA, but it ws the only time they led all match. A run of six straight goals from late in the second term to midway through the third term set up the win for WA, as they led by as much as 30 points.
Vic Country fought back to kick the last three goals of the game, but time ran out as WA won by six points.
