The NAB AFL National Combine came to a close, with a number of great times achieved by TAC Cup players in the final test - the 3km time trial.
Former Sandringham Dragon now GWS Giant Josh Kelly was only able to lay claim to the 3km record of 9 minutes 32 seconds for 12 months, with New South Wales player Jack Hiscox smashing the time coming in at 9 minutes 18.
Of the TAC Cup players, Murray Bushrangers Nathan Drummond had a Combine to remember, impressing with a top 10 finish in all but one test – the agility test – as he completed the 3km time trial in 9m59; one of only five players to achieve a sub 10 minute time. Dandenong Stingrays Tom Lamb produced the quickest time of TAC Cup players with a 9m45, produced in the first group of the afternoon, which backed up his 15.5 beep test the previous day.
Other times from TAC Cup players included Connor Menadue (Western Jets) 10m07, Daniel McKenzie (Oakleigh Chargers) 10m07, Liam Duggan (Western Jets) 10m11, Ed Langdon (Sandringham Dragons) 10m12, Toby McLean (Oakleigh Chargers) 10m18, Touk Miller (Calder Cannons) 10m19, Jack Lonie (Dandenong Stingrays) 10m20, Jaden McGrath (Bendigo Pioneers) 10m23, Dan Howe (Murray Bushrangers) 10m23, Jason Castagna (Northern Knights) 10m28, Jake Lever (Calder Cannons) 10m32, Bailey Dale (Dandenong Stingrays) 10m33, Oscar McDonald (North Ballarat Rebels) 10m35, Jordan Cunico (Gippsland Power) 10m35, Kyle Langford (Northern Knights) 10m37, Daniel Capiron (Dandenong Stingrays) 10m45 and Brydan Hodgson (Murray Bushrangers) 10m47.

Another 33 TAC Cup players will be put through their paces on Saturday in the NAB AFL State Combine on Saturday at Etihad Stadium.
