KING Valley coach Hayden Murray will be urging his charges to turn momentum into a result when the Roos host a surging Bonnie Doon at Whitfield on Saturday.
After a slow start to the season saw the Roos win just one of their first four matches, they have bounced back in recent weeks, chalking up two wins and a narrow loss to unbeaten Tarrawingee in the past three rounds.
Now sitting 3-4, Murray said the Roos needed to turn that into a positive win-loss ratio sooner, rather than later.
“We’re seven rounds in, and we want to be on the other side of the ledger by the halfway mark,” Murray said.
“We’ve started playing some good football, but it’s important that we make the most of that and beat some good teams.
“Bonnie Doon has been going great, but the way I see it this is our game to lose.
“They were unbeaten last year when they came up to Whitfield and we pipped them, so hopefully we have a bit of an edge over them on our home ground.”
