KING Valley’s recent run of form hit a brick wall at Glenrowan on Saturday, as the Kelly Tigers unleashed the sort of intensity and effort that carried them to the past two Ovens and King premierships.
Glenrowan was irrepressible from the opening bounce, blasting home six unanswered goals in the first quarter before going on to win the match by 77 points.
The Roos opened the scoring when Josh Roman missed a set shot, but from there it was one way traffic at the highway end as the Tigers dominated the clearances.
Aaron Cheong was curbing the influence of King Valley ruckman Richard Castles, while Josh Garland, Gus Gray and Max Scott were getting the ball forward with ruthless efficiency.
