FOLLOWING the most challenging season in its history, North Wangaratta Football Netball Club can look forward to 2017 with more optimism after securing home grounds.
After months of discussions, the Hawks have secured ‘in principal’ agreements with Wangaratta’s two Ovens and Murray clubs, Tarrawingee Football Netball Club and the Ovens and King Football Netball League.
The agreements between the parties mean North Wangaratta will play its 2017 home matches shared between the Norm Minns Oval, WJ Findlay Oval and Tarrawingee Recreation Reserve.
NWFNC president Tim Hogan described the agreement as “a generous and timely offer during our time of crisis”.
“We are extremely pleased to have found venues to play our home matches on during the 2017 season,” Hogan said.
“Our club is extremely grateful to have the support of Wangaratta, Wangaratta Rovers and Tarrawingee football netball clubs.
