TARRAWINGEE coach Trevor Edwards refused to put his side’s performance in Saturday’s grand final down to fatigue.
The Bulldogs had a tough run through the finals, outlasting King Valley, Milawa and Bonnie Doon on heavy tracks.
By contrast the Kelly Tigers played only one game during that span, and enjoyed a 10-goal win over the Bombers.
While Glenrowan players and coaches said their fresher legs seemed to carry them to victory in the second half as the Bulldogs tired, Edwards believed his side was simply outclassed.
“It’s something we can’t answer because we haven’t done it the other way,” he said.
“Until we’ve been in that situation and had those extra weeks off we’ve got nothing to compare it to.
