The board of the O&KFNL would like to express our condolences to the Baker family & his wider cycle of friends throughout the Ovens & King FNL community on his recent death.
Fred was secretary of the O&KFNL for an extraordinary 30 years between 1974 and 2004. Fred actually took over from his father, Clyde who was O&KFL secretary between 1934 and 1973!
Fred was also a fine footballer and played in three premierships with Moyhu FNC.
Late of Wangaratta and formerly of Moyhu. Fred passed away at home with his loved ones by his side. Loved husband of Helen (Mahncke). Father of Steven, Dianne and Cheryl, step father of Trevor and Gaye and their families.
