O'Hanlon and Duryea A Chance To Debut
Round 11 of the AFL Season will bring upon the debut of two former TAC Cup players. Brett O’Hanlon and Taylor Duryea have been named to represent their respective AFL Club’s this weekend.
Brett O’Hanlon was recruited in last year’s Preseason Draft from the Dandenong Stingrays by the Richmond Football Club. Brett possesses the natural ‘footy smarts’ that many athletes strive for but cannot be taught. This enables him to read the play and make clever decisions in critical moments of the game.
Brett is a project for the Tigers as they aim to make him a future star forward of the Club.
Richmond line up against the Fremantle Dockers at the MCG on Saturday at 1:40pm.
Taylor Duryea a former Murray Bushranger, has been named in an extended bench to possibly make his much awaited AFL debut this weekend for the Hawthorn Football Club.
Taylor was a 5th Round selection in the 2009 NAB AFL Draft, picked number 69 overall.
The talented left-footer has seen his share of injuries and poor form since being recruited by the Hawks. After putting forward some strong performances for the Box Hill Hawks recently, Taylor has been named on Hawthorn’s interchange bench for Sunday’s match.
The Hawks travel to Adelaide to take on Port Power at AAMI Stadium on Sunday at 4:10pm.
