State Combine invitees announced

46 extra TAC Cup players have been invited to test at the 2016 Victorian State Combine, after 43 TAC Cup players scored invites to the national NAB AFL Draft Combine last week.

The State Combine will take place at Etihad Stadium on Sunday October 9 after the four-day national Combine has concluded. Attendees will be tested for their athletic traits and football skills as well as having their personality and character assessed, but on a lesser scale than for those attending the national Combine.

Players invited to the State Combine have had interest shown in them by AFL clubs, but weren’t nominated by the minimum five clubs required to be invited to the national Combine.

The Oakleigh Chargers head the list for most State Combine invitees with seven players (after having five invited to the national Combine). Next is the Calder Cannons (six / none invited to the national Combine), followed by the Dandenong Stingrays (five / four), Sandringham Dragons (five / six), Murray Bushrangers (four / eight), North Ballarat Rebels (four / five), Eastern Ranges (three / five), Northern Knights (three / one), Western Jets (three / three), Bendigo Pioneers (two / two), Geelong Falcons (two / three) and Gippsland Power (two / one).
