It's a bit of mixed news on the team's list for the Jets as they head into Round 9. On the positive side, Luke Heaney, Zen Christofi, and Harrison White have all returned from injury and will be available to take on the Bendigo Pioneers. Cassius White is also back in the team along with the long-awaited return of Daniel Pantalleresco who will play his first match of the year. Unfortunately, the Jets will miss Will Kennedy (AFL Young Guns Game), Darcy Cassar (Vic Metro vs Vic Country) and Daly Andrews (First game for Williamstown FC).

Possible key matchups
Logan Fitzgerald vs Kyle Borg
When it comes to having the ball on a string Fitzgerald is the master for the Pioneers. Borg's efforts have been solid this year despite his lack of goals but he may have to sacrifice his own game to keep this gun quiet.
Aaron Gundry vs Aaron Clarke
With Will Kennedy unavailable, Clarke will have to take over the ruck duties for this week. Gundry has the advantage here with a height of 200cm and a hit-out average of 17.4 a game. Clarke will have to use his body in the contest in order to beat Bendigo's tower.
Braydon Vaz vs Archie Manton
Braydon Vaz is one of the Pioneers better defenders, he will probably get the job on Manton considering he's the in-form. Manton has proven he can take a contested mark against the best opposition, his only problem is demons in his head that continue to taunt him in front of goal. If he can beat his demons he could prove to be a force to be reckoned with.
