It was a horror show up at Murray as the Jets got clobbered by the Bushrangers. The final score saw the Bushrangers 18.13(121) defeat the Jets 7.7(49).
From the opening bounce, Murray was on top, they had kicked the first two unanswered goals and were off to races early. Luckily Josh Honey struck back to edge the margin but another pair of majors had the Jets on the back foot in the first term.
The second term had the Bushrangers firing all their guns. They booted the first four of the term as the Jets defence was under serious pressure. Cody Raak was standing up well with Emerson Jekka, but the loss of Josh Kellett and Darcy Cassar was unbearable. Josh Honey kicked his second late but Murray was quick to respond.
The avalanche continued as the Bushrangers kicked away in the third term. Jonah Horo managed to snag his first late but the game was out of reach for Western.
The fourth term saw a late blitz by the Jets. Archie Manton stood tall booting his first for the game followed by Danny Grmusa who was called in this week. Baily Ryan was next punch through Murray's defence as Josh Honey soon lined up for his third goal of the day. Murray would kick the last to end a sad day for Western.
Hero of the day: Josh Honey
Honey was the shining light of the day. His hard work up forward gave the Jets back some pride. He finished the day with 3.2 goals, 16 disposals, and 3 marks.
