Western Jets Football Club – U/18 NAB League Boys Medical Team – Sports Trainers
The Western Jets Football Club are seeking students to join the U18 Medical Team for Season 2019/2020.Based in the heart of the West, the club is a proud and professional sporting organisation that competein Australia’s most competitive state-based talent competition - the NAB LEAGUE.
The successful applicants will be rostered as part of a team of trainers and must be available to attend training sessions in Altona and around the west (Up to 2 sessions per week during pre-season - Monday/Wednesday/Friday and 1 session during season – Tuesday/Thursday) and match day on either Saturday or Sunday (Matches are held in metro and country Victoria).
Reporting to the Western Jets Football Club Head Trainer, this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to be involved in a professional sporting environment and working with experienced Sports Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, High Performance, Strength and Conditioning and Rehabilitation personnel.
Experience is desirable but not required, however must carry minimum current first aid qualification.
Key Tasks:
- Massage, hydration, strapping and injury prevention duties at training sessions and on match days.
- Assist with training sessions held by the Club as required and rostered.
- Liaise with Doctors, Physios, High-Performance Staff regarding any player medical issues.
