WELCOME TO Round 7 2025
Reconciliation Round
Welcome to an important and meaningful week for our club as we proudly celebrate Reconciliation Round. This round is a time to pay tribute to the First Nations peoples of this country—the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we play, train, and gather. We acknowledge and honour the extraordinary contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players, cultures, and communities to our game and our broader community. Reconciliation is more than a round; it’s an ongoing commitment, and we are proud to play our part in promoting respect, unity, and recognition.
After the last few weeks with most sides playing away, it’s great to have everyone back on home soil. There’s a fantastic vibe around the club, with nine of our teams sitting inside the top 5 after six rounds—a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work being put in across all levels.
Off the field, our club spirit continues to thrive. Last weekend, players from all teams and supporters came together for a brilliant night at our Beyond the Dale music festival—a big thank you to everyone who helped bring this event to life.
This Friday night our Senior footballers will run skills clinic for the U8s, U9s, and U10s from our junior club. These clinics will be held as a precursor to our Open Age clash with Edithvale-Aspendale, this initiative was a fantastic way to further strengthen the deep ties between our senior and junior programs. The future is looking bright!
This weekend, we welcome Rye Football Club for a full day of netball and men’s football, while our women’s teams take on Frankston (Div 1) and Pines (Div 3) Best of luck to all our sides—let’s get around the grounds and courts, cheering loudly, proudly and, as always, respectfully.
Looking forward to seeing everyone inside this afternoon for the Home Game Draw.
Thank you all, enjoy the season and “GO DALES”
